I’ve never been particularly religious…

But watching the UFC lately has me almost thinking God might be real.

Because nearly every time a fighter wins, the first words out of their mouth in the post-fight interview are:

“First of all, I want to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”

Hmmm. Maybe they’re onto something. Haha.

Now, I don’t want to get too religious here. Truth is, I’m not an atheist. I just live in that confused middle ground where I don’t know whether there’s a higher power or not… and I’m not willing to pretend I do.

That said, I do think there’s a lot to be said for having faith in something.

Faith that something, or someone, is in your corner.

Faith that no matter how ugly life gets, you’re gonna make it through.

Faith that, whatever happens, it’s all gonna work out in the end.

That belief has served me pretty well.

Any time things started looking rough, a new opportunity would pop up out of left field and everything would work out just fine.

Maybe you can relate?

Because there’s a ton of upside in believing everything’s going to work out…

And a ton of downside in believing the opposite… that no matter how hard you try, something or someone will inevitably screw you over.

From what I’ve seen, the people who always seem to have something going wrong in their life tend to hold that negative belief.

And the people who believe things will work out?

They tend to live better, happier lives.

Sure, maybe there’s some survivorship bias here. Maybe a little placebo effect, too.

But does it really matter?

If you believe things will work out, you’ll keep showing up, keep pressing forward…

And sooner or later, things do turn good.

Same goes for email:

Keep showing up, keep writing, keep making offers… and good things start happening.

Sometimes in ways you didn’t even expect.

And if you want the strategies I use to make that happen faster, my Emails with Attitude Cookbook shows you how to write personality-driven emails that get read, get remembered, and get sales.
