Lately, I’ve been re-reading The Ultimate Sales Letter by Dan Kennedy — and oldie but a goodie — and I came across a gem of a quote.

Kennedy mentions a brilliant copywriter named John Francis Tighe, who liked to say:

“In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.”

His point?

In most markets, you don’t need to write a world-beating sales letter to rake in a decent chunk of sales.

You just need a competent one.

And if you apply this to email, this applies doubly so.

Because even now in 2025, most businesses STILL suck at email.

They either:

A) Rarely send emails at all.
B) Only email when they have a sale.
C) Send the most boring, corporate-speak nonsense imaginable.

So if you’re simply emailing your list daily in a fun and entertaining way — even if your emails ain’t perfect — you’re already miles ahead of 99% of your competition.

Yet so many folks get their knickers in a twist when it comes to email copywriting…

… stressing over making every email flawless…

… agonizing over crafting the perfect story, the perfect CTA, the perfect turn of phrase…

… and they psych themselves out before they even hit send.

But guess what?

A competent imperfect email beats a non-existent email every single damn day of the week.

Just showing up, writing with personality, and being consistent will put you leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else in your space.

And if you ever find yourself staring at a blank page, wondering “What the hell do I write today?”

And if you want a shortcut to writing daily emails that are fun, engaging, and (most importantly) profitable — without overthinking every word — then my Emails with Attitude Digital Cookbook will get you up to speed fast.

Inside, I’ll show you exactly how to whip up compelling emails in 30 minutes or less… even if you think you’re “not a writer.”
